Remembering Francisco Fuertes
Before you look through my site, I would like to take a moment and share something with you. Near the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we lost Francisco Fuertes, writer & director of the transgender rom-com short film What If that I had the honor of working on. What If had been earning recognition in the festival circuit at the time of his passing but that also means that, unfortunately, after his death, there is no one in charge of putting this very important film out into the world . Francisco was truly a shining star who touched every heart that met him. His husband, Patrick, and I along with the rest of the cast and crew wanted to honor our dear friend so I have created a page in his memory. I will be appearing in excerpts from the plays Kitty and Tribe in the virtual festival Women's Voices Sustain the World streaming online for a limited time on June 26 & 27!
The short play Our Lady of Broad Steet was supposed to go to Festival de Teatro Alternativo in Bogota, Colombia before the festival was delayed and then moved online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We premiere on June 29th for 24 hours only!
I have reunited with The Exes writing and direction team to present a virtual reading of Lenore Skomal's play Bluff.
